Music Ministries

FPC has opportunities for children, teens and adults to use their God-given musical abilities.

  • Sanctuary Choir

The First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Choir is the premier ensemble in the Department of Music. This choir consists of singers ranging from teenagers to octogenarians. The Sanctuary Choir is responsible for providing music at the 9:30 AM traditional service at the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays each month. In addition to singing weekly anthems and service music, the choir performs concerts each year. The choir has sung numerous major works including Haydn’s Creation, Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, Haydn’s Te Deum, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 2, The King Shall Rejoice, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Schubert’s Mass in C Major, Haydn and Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ, and Dan Forrest’s Te Deum. Rehearsals for the Sanctuary Choir are on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, prior to the Sunday they are singing. For more information, please click below.

  • Chamber Choir

Our Chamber Choir is select ensemble made up of members of our Sanctuary Choir. The Chamber Choir will do similar music to our Sanctuary Choir, but also sings more a capella music and music in foreign languages. They have also presented major works over the past few years including the Fauré Requiem and Michael John Trotta’s Seven Last Words of Christ. The Chamber Choir sings for the 9:30 AM service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Rehearsal is held on Sunday mornings, from 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM in the chapel, on Sunday’s prior to their services. For more information, please click below.

  • Worship Team

Our worship team leads our 11 AM service each week with a diverse selection of modern, revised hymns and contemporary worship music. While each Sunday ranges from folk inspired acoustic worship to full band arrangements, we have an excellent group of musicians who are passionate about using their talents and artistic expression to lead our congregation into the presence of Christ. They rehearse in our youth building at 9:30 AM before service. For more information, please click below.

  • Instrumental Music

If you are an instrumentalist (band, orchestral, pop) and would like to be notified and included in one of these services, please contact our Director of Music Ministries, Jay Arnn, by clicking the button below.
