Resurrection Playlist
“Music stops time. But music also keeps time.”
Songs have rare power to articulate what we can’t simply say. Across time and culture, when we’re sad or celebrating, angry or troubled or joyful, music expresses the deepest parts of our lives like nothing else. As we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection this spring at FPC, we’re listening together to a curated playlist from the songbook set at the center of the Scriptures- the Psalms. They’re the prayers and songs of God’s people, well-worn through millennia, and they make the hope that we have because of the empty tomb of Christ vivid.
So whether you’re just beginning to get curious about faith, or you’re a seasoned follower of Jesus, you’re invited to find hope in this playlist of resurrection songs!
“He who sings prays twice.”

Open and Unafraid: The Psalms as a Guide to Life by David O. Taylor
This is an excellent companion to the book of Psalms; Taylor is a wise guide in showing how the Psalms help us to articulate all of life - joy and sorrow, friendships and conflict, life and death - to God.
